The Myths of Feeding a Raw Diet
Chicken bones will splinter and choke my dog
In reality your dog is no more likely to choke on chicken bones than a piece of kibble but they must be fed RAW
Salmonella and other bacteria can harm my dog
A dog's digestive system is so much shorter than a human that they are not affected
The cost to feed a raw diet is more expensive than feeding a quality kibble
We have been feeding a homemade raw diet for over two years with great success. The overall cost is actually less than feeding a quality kibble. If you have found the situation to be otherwise you are probably shopping at the wrong place.
We recently had a litter of nine toller pups and all were weaned to a homemade raw diet. I realized that not all of the new owners would continue feeding raw. My Vet suggested that I change to a commercially prepared raw diet for the last two weeks before they go to their new homes. At seven weeks I converted the pups to Oma's Pride Ground Chicken Mix including the one we kept. Each puppy owner was provided with a three to four day supply of Oma's Pride which eased their transition to their new environment. I chose Oma's Pride for two reasons, quality and price. I was so impressed with their products that I have since become a local supplier. I now feed a combination of Oma's Pride and a homemade raw diet. For more information please follow the links.
